Kailh vs Gateron Hot Swap Sockets

I was able to get my hands on a Gateron sockets. Product listing states that its part number is CPG151101S11 which is the same as Kailh's sockets. Initial inspection shows that the measurements sure looks identical and should fit on any PCB design for the later. Placing the sockets on PCB, shows that Kailh seems to be more thin. Photo above show Kailh on the left and Gateron on the right. There's a small hole on Gateron's fin(?) making bigger solder contact. Clips for switch pins also seems bigger compared to Kailh's. These seems to be a nice improvement but only time will tell. One P9 released in the wild have these sockets on. If you happen to receive it, let me know. Cheers!

IBM Model M 1391401 24NOV87

Part No. 1391401 ID No. 3284639 Date 24NOV87 Plt No. J1 This is another post to test serviceability and functionality of the subject keyboard after repair. This keyboard was sent to me for repair of broken traces and spacebar malfunction. First impressions: I think this is the oldest 401 I've held. Seems pretty solid and look sin pretty good shape and color. Not much stains on the casing and wear and shine on the keycaps seems pretty consistent. I would assume it had a pretty good use back in its days. Upon further inspection, the left mount that holds the stabilizer wire was repaired with an epoxy then eventually broke. I also assume that when the repair failed, the stabilizer wire became unbalance and caused the right mounting to brake as well. After few photos, the keyboard was dismantled. Rivets clipped. Drilled. How to _____ in VIA?

This post is a work in progress. I will keep on updating this post as soon as I have time. Thanks VIA is a third party remapping software for QMK powered keyboards - this includes Pabile Keyboards. VIA allows remapping of keys on the fly and save it on the keyboard's memory. As of writing, Pabile Keyboards are not yet fully supported by VIA. For VIA to detect these keyboards, one (file) needs to be uploaded to the software. Please follow the instruction specific for your kit.
