Here's my take on a 2-key macro pad with rotary encoder support. There's currently 2 layout options: 2 switch; and, 1 switch + 1 encoder.
Features includes: Kailh hotswap sockets, SK6812 RGB LEDs, up to 1 rotary encoder, Pro Micro with Type C port.
I was quite challenged by the case design. I was looking for something that we don't see everyday.
Options I had were:
Open bottom: Nah. Does not look nice and hard to print.
Open side: This design have sides open - USB port and back side to be precise. I like this since it is easy to print. PCB is exposed and easy to pull. Issue with this design is that PCB with encoder wont slide in.
One side open: Almost same as the last one but back side is closed make a cleaner look. Same issue with encoder, it wont slide.
Embedded PCB: This design have the PCB fully enclosed inside the casing. May not be an easy print but looks cleaner. Access to PCB will require breaking the case.
Need to make some design adjustments for those with encoders but I think this design is acceptable.
Ciao for now...
